Everest Base Camp Perhaps the most famous trek in Nepal, if not the world. The chance to get up close to the worlds tallest mountain and visit one of the best view points on earth. A trek for the fit and enthusiatic trekker, the rewards are worth every step: Mountain villages, monastries and shrines, suspension bridges, glaciers and big mountains are all there to be enjoyed. The trek is fully supported, allowing you to enjoy the hospitality of the Sherpa and absorb the wonderful scenery while travelling in the classic trekking manner first employed by the early Everest expeditions - good food, comfortable camps and walks through air so fresh that the great snow-clad peaks hang before you in sparkling clarity. Our private tours mean you can travel whenever you want, with whoever you want rather than be tied to group departuresand itineraries.

1. Arrive in Kathmandu. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to either relax or explore the City.

2. Phakding: Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Lukla. Meet with your crew. While you have lunch your crew will load these onto pack animals or get it ready for your team of porters. After lunch you will begin your trek

3. Sagarmatha National Park: The trail officially enters the Sagarmatha National Park. There is an entrance station just beyond the village where trekking permits are checked & the park fees are collected.
4. Thame: A moderately easy and beautiful walk to the village of Thame 3800m, situated at an important junction along the old primary trade route to and from Tibet via the Nangpa La (pass).

5. Khunde: A morning visit to the Thame Monastery, then trek to the serene Sherpa village of Khunde.

6. We trek further up the valley to the village of Thangboche, famous for its large Buddhist monastery. This is the trail used by the Expeditions heading for the Base Camp. Camp overnight.
7. Dingboche: Descend through a beautiful forest then cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche. The route continues through summer pastures to Dingboche 4,400m.

8. Chukkung: This day will be spent acclimatising. You can relax or you can take a short hike to Chukkung Valley. This valley is a summer pasture and contains a temporary settlement for herders of the Khumbu and is at 4700m. The views are tremendous.

9. Lobuche: Trek along a broad valley floor to Dughla, continue up the valley gaining altitude. Come out of the valley to descend to the yak pastures at Lobuche 4930m.

10. Gorakshep: After a short climb through the meadow, you look down on the Khumbu Glacier. Straight ahead is Kalapattar - the best vantage point to view the entire south face of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks.

11. Lobuche: Hike up Kala Pattar for unobstructed views of Everest and its surrounding peaks. Most of the famous photographs of Everest were taken from atop this "bump" on the landscape. In the afternoon, retrace your steps to Lobuche.
12. Pheriche: Follow the main Khumbu Valley down to Pheriche, site of the Himalayan Rescue Association's Trekkers' Aid Post.
13. Retrace our steps back to Thyangboche.
14. Namche Bazaar: Easy walk along the Imja Khola with a visit to the gompa at Pangboche, then a short climb up to the Namche Bazaar.

15. Lukla: Down along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your return flight to Kathmandu.
16. Fly to Kathmandu: Transfer to a hotel and enjoy a long hot shower.
